Over the past couple of weeks I’ve gotten the chance to work with San Francisco 49ers pro-bowl linebacker Patrick Willis. Patrick’s been at Xtreme Couture working with the MMA coaches and myself in preparation for his upcoming football season. Football and MMA are two totally different sports, so the training is completely different. This was a nice change of pace for me. Patrick is an unbelievable athlete and I wish him and his team the best of luck this season.

Vitor Belfort, Chris Horodecki, and Jay Hieron are currently training hard at Xtreme Couture in preparation for their August 1st fights at Affliction 3. Between training with Shawn Tompkins and myself, the guys are in great shape. Belfort takes on Jorge Santiago, Horodecki is up against Dan Lauzon, and Hieron will fight Paul Daley. The main event that night is Fedor Emelianenko vs. Josh Barnett.

Congratulations to Mark Coleman on his unanimous decision victory over Stephen Bonnar at UFC 100. It was truly an honor to help Mark prepare for this fight. Mark is a UFC Hall of Famer and a pioneer of the sport.
